چکیده مقاله:

the purpose of this study was to investigate and compare matrimonial satisfaction in marriages where the couples has relationships with each other and those couples who did not have such relationships prior to marriages .the participants of this study were 200 married students at Shahid Beheshti, Tarbiat Modares, Allameh Tabataba’i and Tehran university(among whom 50 women and 50 men had had relationships prior to their marriage and so 50 women and 50 men who had not had such relationship) who were selected based on purposive sampling .the instruments utilized in this study included: 1-Hadson’s matrimonial satisfaction scale 2-hatfield and spertcher’s love questionnaire witch measure people’s past and present love. In order to analyze the data gathered,one-way ANOVA and TUKEY as post hoc test were used. Based on the results of one-way ANOVA and the fact that Fobs (F (3.196) = 68.65) exceeded Fcrit =3.04, we concluded that with regard to matrimonial satisfaction there is a meaningful difference between the marriage with and without relationship prior their marriage. The results of test indicated that the couples who had relationships prior to their marriage had more matrimonial satisfaction in comparison to those who did not have any such relationships
